TOMESORAL Increases Glutathione Level

gluta%20graph_edited.png

In our study TOMESORAL White significantly boosted the expression of Glutathione Reductase (GR) in cells injured by H2O2. The effect is dose dependent to almost double GR at 500 ug/ml compared to untreated cells.

These findings may indicate that Phytoene and Phytofluene, which are abundant in our white tomato variety, play a pivotal role in the increase of glutathione reductase to increase GSH and lightening skin tone.

TOMESORAL was able to boost GR expression, thereby GSH production and its anti oxidant effect as shown in H2O2 injured cells

TOMESORAL was able to reduce Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage in H2O2 stressed cells, providing indication to protection from and repair of H2O2 stressed cell damage.

Expression analysis of LDH release Graph shows the LDH release in post treated cells. Values were taken as mean ± SEM and * shows the significant difference between LDH levels of treated groups and untreated controls (p<0.05)

TOMESORAL was able to reduce MMP-12 (elastase) and TNF-α expression in H2O2 stressed cells

Graph shows the MMP-12 levels in post treated cells.

TOMESORAL was able to increase expression of VEGF, a marker for angionesis, in H2O2 stressed cells indicating its potential to improve regeneration and vitality

VEGF expression in 3T3 cells. Values were taken as mean ± SEM and * shows the significant difference between treated groups and untreated controls (p<0.05).

Defined by cell viability (MTT) test, the safe, non cytotoxic dosage for the in vitro testing was defined at up to 1 mg/ml and IC50 at 1.98 mg/ml

The safe dosage of TOMESORAL protects cells from oxidative cytotoxicity increasing cell viability back to levels similar to uninjured cells

The bar graph shows the recovery of 3T3 cells after H2O2 injury.Values were taken as mean ± SEM and * shows the significant difference between viabilities of treated groups and untreated controls (p<0.05).
